Children come to Park School Teaching Service when they are unable to access any other form of education.  It takes time, patience and skill to establish positive relationships which then enable us to break down barriers to learning. Once engaged in learning our students make rapid progress as their confidence increases and they achieve far beyond what would have been conceivable on referral.

In 2019-2020, our 33 students achieved GCSE passes in 11 different subjects.

  • 13 students achieved a GCSE equivalent vocational qualification and 19 ASDAN certificates were also awarded.
  • 28 students achieved grade 1-9 GCSE English (85%)
  • 28 students achieved grade 1-9 GCSE maths (85%)
  • 10 students achieved grade 4-9 GCSE English (36%)
  • 14 students achieved grade 4-9 GCSE maths (42%)
  • 6/9 students with an EHCP achieved GCSE maths with 4/9 achieving grade 4-9.
  • 7/9 students with an EHCP achieved English GCSE with 3/9 achieving grade 4-9.
  • 10/13 disadvantaged students achieved maths GCSE with 5/13 achieving grade 4-9.

  • This year 33 students achieved 104 GCSE passes - an average of 3.15 per student
  • Last year 24 students achieved 67 GCSE passes - an average of 2.79 per student

25 students have a positive post 16 destination, the majority going to Bolton or Bury College and 4 students doing A levels. 6 students are currently too unwell to access the post 16 provision currently available in Bolton and 2 students remain NEET.

4 students with EHCPs have started at Park School Wellbeing Centre as their post 16 offer.

We are extremely proud of all our students who achieved personal successes by meeting their target grades with a high number also achieving their challenge grades.

A huge WELL DONE to you all; we wish you all every happiness and success in the future.
